ABOUT US

Our Mission

Èco Adventures Summer Camp is a place for children 5-12, to interact and learn about their environment, through hands-on trips/ adventures and activities.   Light and Peace Learning Center seeks to empower our youth by allowing them to express themselves through Art, Crafts, Music and Science. Light and Peace has also formed a partnership with Just Right Technologies and Beat Camp, to include African Centered drumming, and Technology classes to our Youth, where they could introduce themselves to higher levels of computer literacy, while also getting personal understandings of the uses of technologies through our interactive tours and Adventures. Eco Adventures Summer Camp is also a place, which fosters a love for community, and thus we encourage the students and their families to take part in some of the community building activities throughout the 4 weeks of the Camp. Come partake in African centered programs while learning about the Eco-Urban environment in which we live.

Why do we do this? Da Collective - Community

Light and Peace Learning Center was founded by Kendall Albert/ Ras Ingel in 2012 to facilitate student growth through educational programs and extracurricular activities. Ras Ingel, who has obtained a Master's Degree from NYU in Teaching Biological Science, has created an urban ecology class where students could go out and interact with their environment while learning about the species and bilogical makeup of the city which surrounds Us. Eco Adventures couples the Urban ecology along with Technology, African drumming and Crafts to create a FUN, Stress Free, Learnign environment for our children. Our biggest supporter is "YOU" the community.  It is through working directly with the community that we are able to engage campers in new and enriching experiences that will transcend a lifetime.
